Lloyd Silikovitz, Singer/Music Educator
Sophomore at Westminster Choir College, originally from Randolph, NJ, with a passion for teaching music to elementary students and students with disabilities (like him!).

About Lloyd
Lloyd Silikovitz took his first drum lesson at 6, and his first voice lesson a year later, and music has been at the center of his life ever since. He participated in bands and choirs all through middle and high school, including Jazz House Kids Vocal Jazz Ensemble, New Jersey Youth Symphony Percussion Ensemble, and North Jersey Region Band and Choir. He has always hoped to create special experiences in music for others, just as his teachers did for him.
Having grown up with a brother with significant disabilities, as well as managing his own autism and ADHD, he takes particular joy in working with students with disabilities. He currently teaches voice, piano, drums, and marimba to 8 students with disabilities. He has worked as a summer camp counselor since he for the past 5 years, including at a social skills camp and this summer will work as a 1:1 counselor for a camper with disabilities at a JCC camp.
He got started in music as Sam Cooke's biggest 3-year-old fan, and may still be Sam Cooke's biggest 20-year-old fan today. However, he cherishes the opportunities Westminster Choir College has given him to perform sacred music, spirituals, and songs in other languages.

I started music lessons at 6 with autism and ADHD. Good teachers helped me to overcome obstacles and achieve my musical goals. I want to do the same for young musicians with disabilities.
